Entering the necropolis

Post by Shivan »

Tonight was the night; our first raid in WotLK. I had waited a long time for this... I always envied Logar for his experience in Naxxramas and him claiming it was the best raid instance he had seen made it worse. This evening it was my turn to take a look in the necropolis and see if we could best the encounters.

Together with a small force of 10 man who had put lots of effort in reaching level 80 and getting some decent gear together for this Sunday, we entered and under guidance of Logar we started out in the Arachnid Quarter. Here we braved Anub'Rekhan (I don't make the greatest off tank in moonkinform I can tell you that), Grand Widow Faerlina (which obliged us in going down the first try) and finally Maexxna. Since 9 out of 10 people had never set foot in the instance it was a hectic fight, but she/he/it went down the first try.

Next we headed to the Plague Quarter. We played with some immortal-seeming gargoyles and bested Noth the Plaguebringer without too much hassle. Heigan the Unclean required some more practice, but the real dance-die-hards we are, we took him down eventually. Loatheb was the last boss planned for the evening and was a DPS feast we all enjoyed, well the healers didn't like they had only 3 secs every 20 seconds to heal us while doing it... but still they shouldn't complain. The Tier 7 shoulders went to Seriam, who is now our first T7 wearing member.

All in all it was a great evening, finally I have seen a piece of this great instance. And with a team of 4 healers and 4/5 DPS I think it was a pretty good feat. Thanks to all of you who made the effort to make this possible in such a short time after release... for a guild for people with not a lot of play time, you did manage to level quite fast.

On to Archlich Kel'Thuzad!

It was a good raid :), pleasantly surprised we didn't waste too much time at Heigan.

@Shivan, any chance we can make the screenshots a bit smaller ? They don't fit on the home-page frame right now.

Well I think I can say that I really am at my place in this guild by only be lvl 75 and really taking it casual

But damn I wanted to be with the first raid also.... too bad we have enough members with relative too much time on their hands

Grats on the first kills! Must have been fun! :D
